High School Sororities Barred Before College Entry
A New York City resolution from the National Pan-Hellenic Congress directs that any American high school girl belonging to a Greek letter sorority who does not resign by November 46 will be barred from joining such sororities upon entering college. The body, meeting with 70,000 college sorority women, noted high school girls are too young for such societies and that their behavior has bred snobbish cliques and parental opposition. The San Francisco meeting is planned for next year with chairs and delegates named.
