Butler defeats the Baptists 19 to 0 at Washington Park on a muddy field. Baptists outweighed Butler by about fifteen pounds per man, but Butler’s McQuinn, Thomas, Elder, and Morgan led the effort. Captains Thomas and Elder coordinated ten minute periods as play began at 2 50 with Thomas at fullback and Silver moving to right end.
