The Franklin College publication notes a Student Council vote to extend Thanksgiving vacation to Friday, with Hibbs Klyver and McCain to confer with the president. The issue urges campus participation in oratorical events and mentions a planned return by Monday.
The article contemplates the revival and growth of small colleges urging stronger standards and alumni, while noting competition will weed out weaker institutions. It notes the need for robust faculty, equipment, and organizational quality as statesmanship guides future generations. It also includes poems and notes from school life and a report on the National Pan-Hellenic Congress in Chicago.
The fragment mentions a Thanksgiving theme with trimmings and gratitude, a wish to persevere through term exams, and a question about the time of the interrupted cars on a new schedule. It reads like a campus note about travel timing and holiday plans.
