Franklin Loses to Indiana Law School in Poorly Played Game

Franklin College suffered a six to two defeat last Friday afternoon against Indiana Law School semi professionals. The miscues and weak hitting defined the contest as Law scored in the fourth with three hits and two walks, then added four more in the seventh on errors and walks. Franklin’s two runs came late, Elder and a fielder’s choice contributing the hits and situational scoring.

Franklin Defeated by Butler in Irvington Tennis Match

In a fast paced season opener at Irvington Franklin fell to Butler. Thomas and Baker led Butler in doubles and singles with decisive wins over Franklin’s team. Boyer and Constable lost in doubles, while Baker defeated Constable. Thomas beat Cockrell in straight sets. Franklin plans to send a team to the S C A L at Wabash next Friday and Saturday. Miss Gaye Harris visits home for the weekend.
