Franklin Men to Begin Training for Reserve Officers
Some thirty five Franklin college men have applied for the military training camp at Fort Benjamin Harrison set to begin about May 14. The three month course aims to qualify entrants for commissions, with many local alumni among the applicants and an expected total of around sixty men. The Franklin board of directors will discuss credit for those training, with Acting President Belknap favoring full credit, and consideration of credits for students who quit to farm. President Wilson has called a national conference on the college role, to be attended by either Goodell or Belknap.
