Jesse Overstreet Franklin, born December 14 1860 in Johnson County Indiana, trained at Franklin Public Schools and Franklin College class of 1877, admitted to the bar in April 1886, chief clerk to U S Marshal W L Dunlap from 1900 until death, served 1902 as Fifth district Republican chairman, and held public life roles from 1896 to 1906, years of service noted with sympathy to his family.
