Football safety urged. fit players only for game
The National Collegiate Athletic Association committee on fatalities urged banning unfit players from football. Dr George W Ehler chair urged rigid medical exams and strict supervision in practice and games to curb dangers. He noted most 1914 deaths were among non varsity or non college players and stressed no student should play without medical clearance and proper training.
