State Normal defeated Franklin 25 to 22 in a fast, hard fought game on Franklin's floor. Center SttMer led Normal with four field goals while guard Clark added three field goals and seven free throws. The first half ended 13–13 with the lead exchanging hands throughout a dramatic second half.
The Franklin college dinner is postponed to March 13 due to Earl ham basketball conflicts. Dr. Paul Monroe of Columbia University will speak as the alumnus orator. Purdue University will send seven instructors and showcase livestock. Farmers short course at Franklin opera house runs Thursday to Saturday with season tickets at 50e.
The Franklin lodge of Knights of Pythias bans tango and other fancy dances in their hall with a censor to enforce the rule at all Franklin dances. Carnegie School of Technology student athletic council selects Walter P Steffens of Chicago as football coach for 1914, to visit Pittsburgh in April if he accepts.
Dr. Frank W. Padelford of Boston visits Franklin College as secretary of the Education Board of the Northern Baptist convention. He is touring Baptist colleges in the northern states to assess needs for a report to the convention and to support a planned multi million dollar endowment for education.
The 1914 class selects the play Mary Jane's Pa by Ellin Baker to be staged in June. Director Beriaguit, who directed The Man From Home, will oversee the production again and starts work soon.
The W. W. G. A. gathering Thursday evening featured Eva Smock as leader who read In the Desert of Wasting by Anna Fellows Johnson. Members engaged actively in discussion and Regina Helm sang. Dr. Hanley plans to attend the Indiana Brotherhood meeting next Monday at Summitville.
