New York Physician Gifts Franklin Bust To College
A New York physician, Dr J Ackerman Coles of Scotch Plains, donated a life size replica bust of Benjamin Franklin by Houdon to Franklin College. Coles, born 1843 in Newark, has supported Columbia Yale Harvard and others and funded educational buildings worldwide. The bust, once in Stott Hall, may be moved to a library entry as the college honors his gift to memory of his father Abram Coles.
