Semester Changes After Vacation At College
The first term closes today and six weeks from December 31 to February 7 forms one semester. Re registration for all students continues with expectations of over two hundred after vacation. Enrollment totals include 239 men and 115 women, totaling 354. The schedule changes aid S A T C men. new courses include beginning chemistry college physics nature study for sanitation, a year long Anglo Saxon two hour course, a five hour middle English course, a three hour modern history course, and fewer sections for beginning French and English. First year Greek and Latin offerings noted.
College fund update for United War Work Campaign
Up to now $553.50 has been paid into the college fund for the United War Work Campaign. Women have paid $250.50 with several pledges outstanding while men have paid $303.00 with no outstanding pledges. Prompt payment by the women when due will aid those in charge of the fund.

Sorority Rush Dates Set After Calendar Change
With the semester system restored the sorority rush parties move to the second week of the second semester. The February 15 date is restored and the Pan Hellenic party will follow Christmas holidays. Committees are appointed to prepare literature, due in the library by January 4, with final censor review planned.

Soldiers finish SATC careers with discharge parade
Franklin College unit of 209 student soldiers completes three months of training. They marched in parade and final review before Captain C. W. De Jarnette and will receive honorable discharges and final pay within 24 hours. The men report physical gains, better morale, and improved discipline despite missed classes, with strong leadership from De Jarnette Waite and Delaanty.
