Franklin Beats DePauw And Butler In Baseball Notes
In a Franklin victory over DePauw, Beam and Nichols starred as Franklin shut down DePauw’s offense with strong defense and solid pitching. DePauw scored first but Franklin answered with key plays including a double play by Johnnie Nichols. Later Franklin crushed Butler 7 to 2 with Moran and Mulligan delivering in support of strong batting and fielding. Mulligan joined the team, praised for his pitching potential, while existing pitchers Beam Moran Maulli and Ritchey provided depth.
