Vases From Shells Honor War Time Trophies
Edith Wright received two brass vases made from shells fired in the Battle of the Marne by a wounded French soldier now making such items. The pieces, made from French 75s, were gifted by Sergeant Leony Bundy of Fairmount who has served in France as a wireless operator. Nellie Eikenberry also received a war trophy a silk mouehair with Allied flags, from Hallie Hamilton ex-18 serving in France. Wayne Merrill, 17, moved from Harvard radio school to aviation camp in Miami and then to New London Connecticut, while Prof. Clarence Arnett led a Y M C A meeting last night.
