Hendricks Elevated to Missouri State Normal School President
Prof. E. L. Hendricks, long time history department head at the Missouri State Normal School, was promoted by the Board of Regents to be president for one year. He has not yet accepted, as he weighs the career move after a surprise appointment. Hendricks, Indiana and Franklin College graduate, 1894, has served as Johnson County superintendent and studied at Harvard. He is praised for scholarly work and recognized as an indispensable part of the institution. His Missouri records compare him to Woodrow Wilson for analytical rigor and steady progress.
