Retiring Mokena educator Minnie Pester recalls 29 years
Minnie Pester will retire in June ending a 29 year teaching career in District 159. She taught at McGouwen South Holland Doctors Orland Park and Mokena unknown years with seven former students returning as teachers. She faced past attitudes toward women and discipline and developed a study skills program for middle schoolers.
