Frankfort school officials seek about 0.25 million in added revenue through two tax levies to cover deficits in the 1976-77 and upcoming years. Voters on Saturday will receive separate ballots for a 49 cent education fund increase and a 15 cent operations and maintenance increase, with polling at the Frankfort school on Hickory and Oregon streets between noon and 7 pm.

CETA officials approved a three man municipal work force and a full time maintenance mechanic for one year to pursue a Safety and Beautification project. The plan covers sidewalk installations on Willow and Ohio streets near Chelsea school and Sauk Trail and Tanglewood Lane, totaling about 1500 feet of new walkways. The Will County Board must approve, with a May 18 meeting. the project aims to reduce hazards for school children and improve community upkeep.
