Election Choices Abound in Will County Primaries

Voters head to 42nd District polls Tuesday to select nominees for November. Fourteen candidates compete for one senate and three house seats with eight running on an open Republican primary. Democrats back George Langmeister for senate against James Bell and Helen Harshbarger with Robert Olson seeking the Democratic nomination for the same race. In the house, Langmeister ally LeRoy For speaks for Joliet and Joliet allies Ray Wood Bill Craig and John McGuire. Republican contenders include incumbent Harry Leinenweber facing Jack Davis Edwin Talbot Jr Allan Mauer and others. County offices up for election include clerk of the circuit court recorder of deeds state's attorney coroner and county auditor with party nominees listed.

Orland Square to Open Major Stores Ahead of Mall Grand Opening

Two of four major stores Marshall Field and Company and Sears Roebuck will open at 10 a.m. and 9 15 a.m. respectively at Orland Square in Orland Park. The mall on a 103 acre site at 151st Street and LaGrange Road plans 146 specialty stores with J C Penney opening spring 1977.

Mokena Officials Signal Interest in K Mart Development
