Mokena to Stage Official Rodeo This Friday

The first official Mokena rodeo rumbles at Haymac Farms starting Friday sanctioned by the International Rodeo Association. Three shows including two evenings begin at 7 30 p m with a Sunday matinee at 2 p m. Tickets cost 3 and 1 50 for under 12 with proceeds aiding local projects.

Village to Honor Bicentennial Commission

Three Die After Two Car Crash on Route 30

State police said a collision near Lincoln highway and Ridgeland avenue killed Rudolph Brokopp 70 George Shriner 70 and Barbara Shriner 63 all of Frankfort a witness said the Brokopp auto stopped at a stop sign then crossed into the Wallace car James Brokopp and Shriners grandson Steven Gidley were injured in the wreck while Frankfort residents Alice Wallace and 16 year old Frank Wallace Jr were not seriously hurt at St James hospital in Chicago Heights.
