Fire Destroys Farm Buildings Near Frankfort

A fire destroyed two abandoned farm structures on Ohio road south of Frankfort late Sunday night and was confined to those buildings. Flames were sighted as far north as Orland Park. The blaze began shortly after 11:30 p.m. and cause remains undetermined per a fire department spokesman.

Frankfort Liquor Store Theft Reported at Route 30 and 45

Frankfort police investigate a about $5,900 theft from 1890 Liquors Inc at Route 30 and 45. cash from the liquor store safe and proceeds from the adjoining Small World grocery were taken. The theft was detected around 2 p.m. Sunday. the manager found the safe locked and could not explain how it occurred.
