Tinley Park paper earns honorable mention for news writing

The Tinley Park STAR-HERALD received an honorable mention in the 1976 National Better Newspaper contest for spot news coverage of the December 1975 Shine family fire that killed six children and their mother, the village’s worst blaze. The Harvey Star-Tribune also won an award, with a third place in best feature story.

Vespers Concert at Lincoln Way Sunday

Lincoln-Way high school music department presents annual Christmas Vespers with the a cappella choir concert chorale and wind ensemble in the auditorium.
