Frankfort Fall Festival Highlights Food Fun and Festivities
Visitors to Frankfort gather for a weekend of food free entertainment wagon tours carnival rides and an Oktoberfest Labor Day parade. About 230 arts crafts and antiques exhibits will be on display with schedules for carnival hours and performances by Illiana Foxfire Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the Bluegrass Gospelaires and Dennis Johnson across Saturday Sunday and Monday.

Accident Hospitalizes Eight Frankfort Youth After Route 45 Crash
A multi vehicle wreck on Route 45 near LaPorte road left 12 year old Frankfort boy Steve Fifer in critical condition and his father Stephen Fifer seriously hurt. Eight people were hospitalized with two more Fifer family members and Bajal plus others treated for injuries. Police say Bajal failed to stop at a stop sign triggering the collision that sent the van and trailer into a ditch and the trailer into northbound lanes.
