Pulaski County Delegates Nominate Ticket at Winamac Convention

Culp Family Reunion Held at Barkley Township

A reunion of the Culp family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Culp in Barkley township last Thursday despite threatening weather. One hundred seven guests attended at noon and more arrived later under an apple tree for a large dinner. Attendees from Monon Remington Kewanna Battleground joined, with photographer Frank Grafton present. Mr. Culp, said to be Jasper County’s oldest resident, and his wife received many well wishes as the group planned to meet again the first Thursday in September at the same homestead.

Death of Miss Anna Calbreath at her home near Winamac

Miss Anna Calbreath died Monday forenoon at her father's home south of Winamac after about three months of consumption. She was in her prime, had lived in the area all her life, and her sister Dora died two years ago. The notice reflects local sorrow and notes Dowie’s career and a tobacco anecdote, ending with an advertisement for Burget & Co. ties.
