Fall Festival Opens Next Week in Francesville
Francesville prepares for the Fall Festival and Agricultural Exhibit the largest of its kind in Northern Indiana. Nine daily acts include Prof. William Simmons diving from an eight foot ladder and a balloon ascent by Mme Raymond. Fross Brothers, Ringling veterans, perform on multiple apparatuses with a comic act. Daily ball games feature Danville Unions, a touring colored team, with a big merry go round ready for the band concert. Premiums attract exhibitors as crowds from a 25 mile radius are expected.

The county council will not appropriate 320 dollars to pay half the cost of piping artesian water to the Winamac court house square. The fountain is a public utility and the city should cover the bill, benefiting outlying residents and visitors who transact official business there.
