New Interstate Passenger Rates Take Effect
The new interstate passenger rates are in effect with a 20 percent fare increase for points outside Indiana. Indiana points remain unchanged from the last rise. Pullman fares rise sharply by about 5 percent and excursion rates are also increased.

Charles Hill Dies Sudden in Fairbury Illinois
Charles Hill died suddenly at his Fairbury home after a brief illness from indigestion. A 57 year old native of England who settled in the U S at 19, he was a retired agriculturist and stock grower. The funeral Tuesday was attended by relatives including Dr and Mrs W C Richardson and Mrs Nellie Law Hill and Mrs Margaret Hill and daughter Miss Alice.

Tragic Lovers Quarrel Ends In Self-Destructive Crossing Death
Ferdinand Dye, 22, of Lomax and Hamlet, is killed when his buggy stops on a private farm crossing two hundred feet from the Hobey home as Monon No. 1 bounds from Michigan City to Lafayette. Police think he drove there to end his life after a quarrel with a woman at the Hobey farm. The engineer Hugh McMillan could not stop in time. the buggy is torn, the horse unharmed. Dye’s body is returned to San Pierre. survivors include his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Boy Improvised Trapeze Device Ends in Tragic Hanging
Homer Hirsh 12, grandson of Mr and Mrs Mah lon Wood, four miles east of Camden in Carroll County, was found dead in a barn loft Sunday morning. He had returned from an old settlers picnic at Delphi and used a rope loop hung from a barn rafter to test a home made trapeze, resulting in fatal strangulation.
