Driver Thrown From Cart At Race Track
George Reese of Wmn. Cowan’s team was thrown from his cart Monday evening around five. He sustained a scalp wound and shoulder injuries when the horse he drove whirled and toppled him. He was unconscious then dazed on arrival at his home a mile west of town. Authorities say injuries not serious. Monti cello Herald.

Obituary for Lewis Walter of Dearborn County Indiana
Lewis Walter born in France on July 10 1820 came to Indiana with his father and settled in Dearborn County. He married Mary A Engle October 27 1842 and they had nine children, four living. He joined the Baptist church in 1844 and died last Friday after a long illness. burial at Greenburg.
