Monon Shops Force Increased by Recall
Twenty car builders and fifteen helpers were added last Thursday at the Monon railway shops in Lafayette raising the car shop force to near the pre January cut level. When six more builders and six helpers are called the force will match last fall’s employment, with plans to add by June 1. The steel car straightening pit is expected to be completed by then.
