Died Sunday Night Ada Peterson Former Monticello Resident

Miss Ada Peterson 46 a former Monticello resident died at her home in Indian Creek township near Pulaski last Sunday night from pericarditis after about a week of illness. She leaves her mother and brother Will Petersen. funeral Tuesday at Monon Chapel with Rev. J. S. Van Orman officiating. Burial in nearby cemetery. Also note Maxine Miller two and a half daughter of Dr and Mrs N L Miller died of diphtheria at their North Illinois Street home after a week illness. anti toxin given but she died. The Monticello Herald reports community sorrow for a child beloved by all.

Mrs Ben Tyler Funeral Sunday

Mrs Ben Tyler died at home after a brief sickness following the birth of twins. She leaves her husband and three ill children, parents, four brothers, and two sisters. The funeral at the Christian Apostolic church was one of the largest in the community with over one hundred machines in the procession. Burial in the cemetery east of town.

Miss Ethel DeBries of Lansing visits Mrs. M. M. Maxwell and has passed the Red Cross Nurse exam. She will train in New York then go to hospital work in France.

Monon Man Killed By Threshing Engine

Auginet Ro Han of Monon was killed Thursday while acting as engineer on a threshing engine at the Alva Thom as farm two miles west of Monon. He backed the engine toward the separator and the machine crashed into it, crushing his body. He lived about thirty minutes before help arrived.
