Dr. Joseph J D McCann 65 of Monticello was killed when his car rolled down a 25 foot embankment along the Tippecanoe river after attempting to back up. His wife Mrs McCann suffered multiple injuries and survived at St Elizabeth hospital Lafayette.

Indiana gas tax nears 400000 first month
Nearly 400000 is expected to flow into the state treasury before July 935 from the first month’s collections of the new Indiana gas tax. The money funds the gas tax account until October and then moves to the state highway fund. About 90000 will be distributed to each of the 92 counties this year.

An affidavit was filed by Theodore Garrigues. A Purdue inspector filed an affidavit against C S Witt for testing cream without a license. The fine and costs totaled thirty five dollars. Mr Witt claimed the test occurred in the inspector’s presence during the temporary absence of his son, who held a license.
