Tragic Medary celebration ends in Elsie Ranger death
A fatal accident on the main street of Medary within the town limits killed eight year old Elsie Ranger two hours after being struck by a passing car driven by Roscoe Pay. The girl stepped from behind a vehicle to cross and did not hear or see the car in time. Funeral services were held Monday.

Purdue to Expand Agricultural Grounds with 120 Acre Purchase
Purdue University plans to acquire 120 acres of land on the Burlington road east of Lafayette for a permanent agricultural experiment station. The land, previously rented, will be bought at 250 dollars per acre following a recent appropriation. Construction will include up-to-date facilities. Additionally T. J. Bailey of Lafayette secures the Masonic building contract in Francesville for 4593 dollars and also the new school building project, starting work immediately.
