Harrison Wilson Funeral Held Saturday Afternoon

The funeral for Harrison D. Wilson, who died suddenly last Thursday of heart trouble, was held Saturday afternoon at the family residence with Revs. Reeder and Van Orman officiating. Burial followed in a nearby cemetery. Wilson, born December 8, 1836 in Miami County Indiana, was 78. A Civil War veteran, he married Clara F. Jones in 1867 and had two children who died in infancy. He joined the Methodist Episcopal church early, served as trustee and steward, and lived near Francesville after marriage. He leaves his wife, one brother, and many relatives and friends.

David Welch of Fowler Dies After Paralysis

David Welch, longtime Fowler resident born in Ireland 82 years ago, died Monday at his daughter's home after a week with paralysis. He leaves three daughters and two sons. A great uncle of the paper's publisher, he lay in state at Ssered Heart Catholic church in Fowler for his funeral held this morning.
