County Recorder W. B. Henry presented the 1912 annual office statistics. Deeds filed totaled 910 valuing $2,730,931. Mortgages 332 recorded and 142 released. Farm mortgages 877 totaling $917,277 and 62 city property mortgages filed. A $9,000,000 mortgage release for AT&T raised total releases to $9,504,623.

Indiana Deaths From External Causes In December Report
The December external-cause death report lists 402 Indiana deaths with 335 railroad related fatalities and 8 women among the deceased. Homicides totaled seven with three women among the victims. Poison deaths totaled seventeen, firearms seven, drownings three, and other methods noted. Falls caused twenty seven accidental deaths. automobile and other vehicle crashes caused seven men and one woman to die. Poisonings and acute food poisoning added several more fatalities. Long-Richardson Nuptials reported as unique ceremony in the county courthouse with the couple from Medaryville, attended by Albert Benham, a deaf mute. the bride states they will have no verbal disputes.

Miss Erma Schomers aged sixteen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Theodore Schomers, former residents here, died Wednesday morning in Oxford from an abscess of the ear. The funeral was held Friday.

Mrs. Emanuel Circle Dies After Long Illness Near Francesville
Emily E. Graybill Circle, born March 25 1852 in Auglaze County Ohio, died last Friday night at her home east of Francesville after months of stomach trouble and complications. Burial followed at Pleasant Ridge Church with Rev. S C Rogers officiating. She leaves her husband and five children in Arkansas Michigan City Francesville and Jefferson White Post Townships, plus a brother and grandchildren.
