Calvert of Delphi, Indiana, is named the boy corn champion after raising 149 bushels on a single acre in 1917. Announcement was made at Purdue during a farmers short course. Other district winners include Frank Bishop, Schuler, Griffith, and Evans among eight honored youths who receive a trip to Washington.
