Winamac Mail Carrier Injured in Train Collision
Carl Johnson a rural mail carrier from Winamac with a westward route to Ambler was struck by a northbound freight train at the Galbreath crossing a mile south of Ambler early Wednesday. His horse was killed his wagon demolished and his condition described as not expected to survive though a nine o’clock report said he was still alive.
