Ab Whitaker, longtime community leader born June 26 1848 in Leroy Illinois died Monday morning after a ten day illness from paralysis. He moved from Illinois twenty years ago and contributed to local business and civic life. Survived by wife Martha E Perry, two sons J W Whitaker and F L Whitaker, two grandchildren five brothers and Eva Belle Dunlap widow of Bloomington Illinois. Funeral at the Methodist church and burial in Leroy.
