D. E. Sites tendered his resignation as superintendent of schools to Trustee Edward Mayhugh and it became effective Monday. He will join the McConnell Map Company of Chicago as a salesman and begin work immediately after honoring his contract pending a successor. His brother Lieut. E. C. Sites, former assistant superintendent, has also taken a position with the firm.
The State Board of Health argues against blanket quarantine measures noting that closing schools churches and theatres does not stop influenza spread.
