Survived by wife Maria two daughters Alma and Mrs. Mohler one son John deceased two grandchildren one brother William Garling two sisters. Funeral held at German Evangelical church with Rev C F Weiss officiating. Burial in local cemetery.

The next such burst is expected in 1935, and the first eclipse will occur January 8, visible across the United States from 12:50 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. EST, with total coverage between 2:00 and 3:29 a.m. EST.
