Funeral Held Sunday for Harry J. Myers
The death of Harry J. Myers from influenza and pneumonia occurred Wednesday of last week. A Christian church service was held Sunday afternoon with Rev. J. S. Van Orman officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery east of town. Myers, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Myers, was a lawyer and active local business figure. He married Bessylvia A. Koster on January 1, 1916, and left a daughter Marilyn Marjean. He was a member of the Christian church and several fraternal orders.

Burial followed at the cemetery east of town amid family mourning.

Former resident Fred Lighthart died at his Bloomington home after battles with dropsy and heart trouble. He was 60, born near Ottawa, leaving a widow and two sons Forest and Walter. Forest stays on the family farm now occupied by Albert Gudeman, and Walter serves aboard the battleship Delaware.
