Mr. O Severance returned to Francesville Tuesday night after a gall stones operation at Lafayette hospital three weeks earlier. He reports feeling well and glad to be back in the good city.

Community thanks for support after loss of wife and mother

The Swing family and Mrs Anna Bannart thank friends and neighbors for help during illness and death. A storm caused minor damages and knocked down a large portion of a tree in the yard of the Daeske property in the eastern town area.

Wheat arrivals were slow last week due to heavy rain delaying threshing but quality and yield look good with an estimated 25 bushels per acre. Prices remain steady with oats and immerge also showing steady market quotation.
