Uncle Charley Garrigues of Francesville Dies at 74
Pulaski county resident and Civil War veteran Charley H. Garrigues died at his home in Francesville last Friday noon after months of ill health. Born in Philadelphia on April 2, 1832, he moved to Francesville in 1855 and served as hospital steward with the 17th Indiana Mounted Infantry during the war. He married Cynthia Brewer in 1868 and leaves three sons and three daughters. Funeral services were held Monday at the Christian church with interment in the town cemetery.
