Winona Telephone Co Wins Suit Over Lightning Injury
Mrs. Kestner of Knox sued the Winona telephone company for 20000 damages after lightning struck lines during a storm and damaged her ear drum. A five day hearing ended with the jury ruling for the defendant saying the company could not control lightning.
