Racing Mare Rosebud Found Dead at Lake Farm
Rosebud, a pacing mare owned by Al Crisler of Portland Indiana, was found dead in the stable at the Lake farm near Como this week. The mare once set a 2 1 4 1 44 record and frequently ran 2:10 in races. Trained by Lew Swathwood last spring for county fairs and meets without a driver, Swathwood mourned the loss upon learning from Crisler. The animal was over sixteen years old.
