Died Suddenly Veteran of the Civil War Noah Montgomery
Noah Montgomery a veteran of the Second Ohio cavalry and civil war soldier died suddenly last evening at his home 65 Baker Alley from apoplexy. Born in Columbus county Ohio fifty three years ago he lived in Fort Wayne for twenty six years and worked for the Wabash road Olda Wagon works and in a Lafayette street drug business. He leaves a wife and four children Josie Hant Sarah Ellen and David M. Funeral Monday at 2 PM. Dr George B Stemen attended, and his death followed throat pain after dinner. The family resided in Allen County since 1850 with brief years in Toledo. He served four years in Union ranks and later moved to this state. Funeral arrangements announced.
