A crowd of around seventy five men gathered at La Veta Colorado after Marcos Gonzalez was examined for the Brown family murder. He was taken from the jail and hanged on a telegraph pole in the Plaza amid a vigilant guard. The coroner’s jury later ruled he died by hanging at unknown hands.
