No Room for Both Fraternity and School
Four Fort Wayne high school students were barred from classes by Principal C. T. Lane on the first day of fall term until they proved they had severed ties with any secret organization. The initiations, held during summer, violated a state law, and the students were sent home with instructions to reunite only after disassociating. They later supplied proof, with others from Phi Delta Kappa also having previously signed similar affidavits. The day proceeded unusually quiet as plans allowed teachers to begin lessons promptly.
