Five Year Old Narrowly Escapes Drowning in Rain Water
Harry Fahlsing, five, of 133 Wallace Street, toppled into a large yard tub of rain water Saturday morning and could not rise. Family members quickly pulled him out and revived him after a few minutes. He suffered no lasting harm.

Doctor's Specimen Foetus Found At Lumber Yard
Remains of a partially developed infant were found at the Klett lumber yard on West Superior street Friday evening. Coroner Dr. W. W. Barnett investigated after Beatty reported the discovery. The foetus, preserved in alcohol, likely belonged to a physician or medical student and may have been meant for disposal in the river.

Indianapol is Sentences Former News Agent for Money Order Fraud
Leonard McClish of Fort Wayne pleaded guilty in U S district court to raising a post office money order from 50 cents to 14 dollars 50 and was sentenced by Judge John H. Baker to two years in the Columbus Ohio penitentiary. He had been a news agent on the Lake Erie and Western railway and admitted guilt in preliminary proceedings.

Two Hurt in Runaway on West Main Street
Two men Otto Bowman and John Kidd were injured in a runaway on West Main Street Saturday. Driving a team owned by William Geake, they were returning from J. H. Bass's residence when a passing switch engine spooked the horses, throwing both men from the wagon and onto the pavement. Bowman may have a broken nose and one horse suffered serious injuries.
