William B. O’Hair former Edgar county sheriff and ex state legislator shot Wang Lee the Chinese laundryman on North Main Street around 2 pm. The bullet hit the right breast and lung. Lee is gravely wounded. O’Hair surrendered to the sheriff at the county jail claiming motive was Wang Lee robbed him of 350 dollars on February 25. Lee had earlier been arrested on suspicion but acquitted.

Hayes Collision Near Severn Station Kills One
The second section of the fast line north left Washington at 1 10 p m on the Baltimore and Potomac railroad and collided on the first curve south of Severn station fifteen miles from Baltimore.
