Awful Wreck Kills Hebron Man In Wabash Train Crash
A wreck on No. 20 eastbound passenger train near the Eel river bridge at Columbia City killed John W. Paramore of Hebron Ind and injured about nineteen others including Dr J W Younge, Conductor Finnell, and Miss Myrtle Brice. The rear Pullman cars left the track after a broken tire caused the derailment. Rescue rushed to the scene and wounded were taken to St Joseph and Hope hospitals as engineers and doctors worked through the afternoon to confirm the full list of injured and fatalities.
