The Gate of the Caravans and Yusuf’s Honest Gain
In the Gate of the Caravans Yusuf, a date seller’s son, finds a purse with two hundred gold pieces. The Crier proclaims a reward, the crowd questions the emerald claim. The Cadi rules the purse does not contain the emerald and orders return to Yusuf. A week later Yusuf obtains his camel and joyfully departs with Ebu Aziz’s payment unresolved.
