The German emperor Frederick III died at 11 o'clock this morning. William II is proclaimed emperor and king, with the German Reich and royal house in mourning. Reports from Potsdam and Berlin detail the death scene, royal affidavits, and the new ruler's background and temperament.
The obituary chronicles Frederick III born October 18 831 as Crown Prince Frederick William and notes his military rise from Danish war service to decisive leadership in the 1866 Austro-Prussian conflict and Franco Prussian victories. John Lowry a wealthy farmer attacked his wife over alleged infidelity with a hatchet. she died after injuries. He then shot Farm hand Abe Clark twice, killing him, before fleeing the scene in Cock County West Point Illinois.

Wasasa Indiana June 15 announcement of a new national bank named the Wabash National Bank with capital stock of 100000. Directors include Thomas McNamee Joseph W Busick George King William King Benjamin Wolf J B Chinworth J J Robertson and J A Bruner. Joseph W Busick named president and J J Robertson cashier. Plans underway for a new building as prospects appear bright.
All window glass plants in the region will shut down from June 15 to September 1 under a convention resolution. The pause may extend if workers and employers fail to agree on next season’s wage scale, with workers seeking no cut and employers proposing a 10 to 15 percent reduction.
Miss Grace Stevenson aged eighteen drowned herself yesterday evening in the Ohio River near Delhi. Daughter of W L Stevenson she was a bright girl with no motive shown. She left home with a man rower and after crossing the river walked into the water. her body was recovered last night.

Henry Kneller a young prosperous farmer in Goxzumpsa Orry Indiana shot himself last night. He was about twenty two and married a note found on him read Mother you have kept all I’ve got. Mother goodbye. The tragedy is reported from the local community with no further details.
Indianapolis June 14 Chairman Jewett of the Democratic state central committee remains in Indianapolis to lead an active canvas. Secretary Marsh will arrive soon to assume duties. The campaign executive committee is named with members Charles Jewett Isaac P Gray Joseph E McDonald F P Sheerin J O Henderson Charles B Stewart and John P Frenzel treasurer.

In Forepaughs circus at Sisinerreip Massachusetts Henry Bothwick of Ludlow Centre was drunk and annoyed actor Harry Taylor who struck him under the jaw and killed him instantly. Taylor fled the scene, swam the Connecticut river, and has not been seen since.
The National Christian Scientists association elected officers: President Mrs. M. B. G. Eddy of Boston, Vice Presidents George B. Day of Chicago and Calvil A. Frye of Boston, Secretary Herbert N. Bangs of Boston, and Treasurer Mrs. H. A. Larramie. The next annual convention is planned for Cleveland, Ohio.
The murdered body of Henry Umback from Utica New York was found in the river near Manpison Indiana. Police say he was killed for his money, stripped of his clothes, and cast into the water.
Louisville on June 14 Governor Bauckler refused to commute the sentence of William Patterson, who is scheduled to be hanged June 22 for the murder of Jennie Bowman.

Mrs. Gaffney wife of the well known ex trustees of Wayne township died last Saturday at age forty six after two years of illness. She endured long suffering with Christian fortitude and was beloved by all who knew her. She was a sister of Mr. M. M. Kelley and noted for her endearing qualities.

Hunuvertor Nebraska residents Hans Tidge and August Michelson were fishing yesterday when Michelson tipped the boat to frighten Tidge who could not swim. Both fell overboard and drowned.

Dr Norvin Green, elected president of the New York Mahoning and Western Railroad, says the line from New York to Fort Wayne will cross Ohio to the Pennsylvania line near Pennstown and west through Indiana. The project aims to join the American Midland route along the forty first parallel, with multiple eastern and western connections expected for traffic.
At the Joint Senatorial Convention in Wasabe Wasash, Indiana, North Manchester saw 76 votes with Clemons, Shively, and Williams on ballot. After thirteen ballots Shively withdrew, and on the fourteenth Williams led 94.72 to 41.28, making B F Clemons the nominee.
