The bond binds their heirs executors and administrators and is deposited in the state library as an exceedingly interesting record.
In Putnam New York a dying young woman wished for a boiled partridge though out of season. Friends offered a squirrel but she would not relent. That day a partridge flew to the house, was disabled, caught and cooked for her final meal before she died.

Red Cloud urged immediate appointment of six commissioners to accompany the delegation as they take the agreement home for explanation. He named Todd Randall and Collers for two seats. Commissioners agreed to remove the Nebraska line stakes troubling the Indians and to seek presidential approval of the commissioners.
The Masonic visitors from other states rapidly depart New York city. Detroit commandery No. 1 plans to leave for home tomorrow. Lafayette Graff, named in a joint indictment with Deputy Collector Charles L. Lawrence for smuggling silks, surrendered to U S Dist Atty Bliss after returning from Montreal and was admitted to bail at five thousand dollars to be used as state's evidence.

Chicago June 4 The coal miners strike shows no new demonstrations as four leaders from yesterday's mob were arrested and brought before a justice this morning but the cases were continued to a later date.

The Chicago Tribune reports a Philadelphia staged attempt to cross the Atlantic by balloon using hydrogen gas. A three ton lift with a small cedar and paper hull will carry aeronauts, with Stiner in charge and a navy officer aboard. Preliminary tests and two smaller balloons precede the June 19 start in New York.
