A derailment on the New York and Pennsylvania line near Buffalo last night left five killed and twenty injured as a passenger coach collided with a freight cars. Dense debris trapped occupants in twisted steel while others fled the scene.

A gang of seven desperadoes attacked the saloon of William Timm in Roby Ind. Last night the intruders shot Butch, a gang member, and wounded George Dorach, nephew of the proprietor. Gallagher, the leader, returned and wounded a bystander before being shot and dying. The remaining three gang members were badly wounded.
